Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to assist our team in ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role involves supporting quality engineers, maintaining the effectiveness of quality systems, and reviewing documents and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality assurance practices and be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to meet quality objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, maintain, and ensure adherence to the quality management system (QMS) in line with company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Evaluate, develop, and update quality policies and procedures in compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Advise and support site personnel in understanding quality system policies and procedures, ensuring compliance through effective collaboration with internal teams and departments.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and auditing agencies.
- Conduct self-audits and create action plans to address compliance gaps identified during audits.
- Coordinate third-party audits, customer audits, and accreditation activities, ensuring audit readiness and documentation accuracy.
- Assist during audits and manage internal audit schedules to ensure compliance with AS9100 and other regulatory standards.
- Oversee the corrective action system, ensuring timely responses and successful completion of corrective actions.
- Review and approve corrective action responses as the CAR Administrator, focusing on root cause analysis.
- Analyze trends in product and system data, generate performance reports, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in quality assurance, with the ability to interpret customer and plan specifications and make quality decisions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, meeting deadlines effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal and external customers/suppliers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Outlook).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings and specifications.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role within the aerospace manufacturing industry or a related field.
- High school diploma or GED certificate required; additional education or training in quality assurance is a plus.
