JOB TITLE: Sr. TMS Implementation Engineer

Location: Buena Park, Orange County (100% on-site)


Job Description: Unis, a leading 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) provider, is seeking an experienced Senior TMS (Transportation Management System) Implementation Engineer with a strong warehouse background. In this role, you will lead the implementation, customization, and optimization of TMS solutions tailored to meet client needs, integrating warehouse management capabilities to enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) solutions, focusing on integrating warehouse management functionalities to streamline logistics operations.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and internal teams to gather requirements, design system architectures, and configure TMS solutions according to operational and business requirements.
  • Manage the deployment and integration of TMS modules, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
  • Provide expert-level support in system testing, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues during and post-implementation phases.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users on TMS functionalities, best practices, and system optimization strategies.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, user manuals, and implementation processes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in TMS technology, warehouse management, and logistics operations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in implementing and configuring Transportation Management Systems (TMS), preferably within a 3PL or warehouse environment.
  • Strong proficiency in TMS software platforms (e.g., Oracle Transportation Management, SAP TM, MercuryGate) and their integration with warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Proven track record in managing complex TMS implementations, including system integration, data migration, and customization.
  • Expertise in warehouse operations, logistics management, and supply chain processes.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver results within deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement and optimization of TMS solutions.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in TMS software platforms or relevant industry certifications.

Experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and API integrations.

  • Familiarity with warehouse automation technologies (e.g., RFID, voice picking) and their integration with TMS.
