Baldwin Roofing Company is currently looking for an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our growing team and will be a critical component in providing an excellent experience for our customers. The primary responsibilities include preparing estimates and submitting bid packages for commercial, new construction and multi-family roofing projects. They will specialize in roofing services performed and specific types of roofing products manufactured with ability to read blueprints and project manuals.


Job Skills & Duties

•        Estimating of Commercial Roofing Projects including field take offs, budget, and change orders

•        Attend Pre-Bid meetings and perform roof surveys/take offs; to include creating a roof drawing with detail drawings, take measurements of roof area and details to identify labor, material, and time requirements

•        Complete physical inspections to take photos and assess logistics challenges for specific job site

•        Analyze bids opportunities for pros and cons of projects that will benefit the company and determine projects that are outside of scope of work

•        Manage and track bid schedules to ensure timely submission of roofing bids and provide reporting to management for bid submissions

•        Obtain material quotes from manufacturers and suppliers for accurate estimating

•        Establish and maintain existing relationships with potential clients and strategic accounts

•        Present proposals to clients, highlighting key aspects of the estimate and addressing any questions or concerns; Follow up with clients on submitted bids and negotiate contracts

•        Facilitate documentation for accepted projects and turn over to internal teams

•        Participate in post-job review/analysis of actual costs to estimated costs through job cost system for use on future projects

•        All other duties as assigned


Requirements

·        3+ years of estimating commercial roofing projects

·        Ability to read, comprehend, and analyze architectural drawing, blueprints, and project specifications

·        Strong attention to detail and ability to manage simultaneous assignments

·        Knowledge of Florida Building Code, Miami Dade Product Approvals and Roofing Material Manufacturers Systems

·        Excellent verbal and written customer service and communication skills

·        Professional appearance

·        Computer proficiency with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, email, internet, and provide data entry in a timely and efficient manner

·        Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods of time, access rooftops of various types/heights/etc

·        Flexible availability in the event of catastrophic weather
