The R&D Associate will support the Product Development team by managing tastings, coordinating projects, producing samples, and maintaining the R&D kitchen. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of food production processes. Experience in R&D or food production is preferred.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Tasting Preparation: Organize tastings, ensure proper labeling, and handle product storage.
  • Project Coordination: Set up and document product development kickoff meetings.
  • Sample Production: Manage sample runs, gather data, and coordinate with QC and production teams.
  • Kitchen Management: Maintain cleanliness, organize supplies, and operate R&D kitchen equipment.
  • Product Knowledge: Understand coated products and production processes.
  • Documentation: Track all production and sample data, ensuring accurate records.


Qualifications:

  • Experience in R&D or food production (preferred).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with food safety practices.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred).


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift equipment and stand for long periods during kitchen tasks.


Location: Newark, NJ 07114 (In-person, relocation required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000 per year

Schedule: Monday to Friday
