The role focuses on enhancing customer satisfaction and adding value to the buying experience.


In This Role You Will:


  • Fulfill quote requests, review mechanical schedules and drawings, and assess specifications.
  • Communicate directly with customers and outside sales representatives via phone and email to represent the company and secure orders.
  • Advise customers on product availability, pricing, and terms in accordance with standard parameters.
  • Coordinate with various departments and divisions within the company.
  • Accurately process all customer requests, including orders received via phone, fax, or electronically from manufacturer reps, distributors, OEMs, and internal sales personnel.
  • Follow up with other departments (e.g., operations, purchasing, shipping, accounting) to ensure delivery dates are met and proactively communicate any shipment delays to customers.
  • Coordinate with logistics, production, engineering, and accounting departments for processing credits, and return materials authorizations.
  • Ensure that issues are escalated to managers for prompt investigation and action as required.


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a High School/Trade School Diploma with 3-5 years of experience in a technical sales/service position.
  • Experience working in a mechanical or industrial-related industry.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude to understand product applications at the end-user level.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Proficient in HubSpot CRM.
  • Proficient with ERP systems (such as Syspro).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, subordinates, and other management team members via phone, email, and other written and verbal communication methods.
  • Ability to maintain a calm and positive attitude under stress.


Work Environment:


This role operates in both office and factory/manufacturing environments. The position requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Additionally, you must be comfortable working on the factory floor at times to assist with various company operations.
