Position Overview:

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will help lead the architecture, development, and research for Rectangle Health’s engineering projects. You will mentor, train, and grow other developers by implementing best practices across the engineering department.

A Principal Software Engineer is one who is self-directed, shows initiative and understands business constraints on problems. Is also capable of debugging difficult problems that the team encounters.

Overall, the primary goal of this role is to research and develop innovative solutions that will help scale our products for growth.

Primary job duties:

  • Guide architectural conversations and decisions to help our Bridge Engagement platform scale
  • Mentor and guide other team members in best practices and design patterns
  • Develop cloud-based solutions using services from Amazon Web Services
  • Be part of a team of other individuals who love to collaborate and continue to grow their skills
  • Guide cross team solutions, architecture, and priorities by understanding the strategic business goals of the organization that bring significant business value without unnecessary technical complexity or risk.
  • Participate in cross organizational discussions representing the engineering team.
  • Be an active contributor to the Bridge Engagement teams product road map by partnering with the product management team.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering/computer science or related field or equivalent experience and self-education.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge or .NET languages, such as C#
  • JavaScript, CSS, HTML5
  • NET, MVC, Razor, .NET Core
  • Proven experience in software development methodologies
  • Solid understanding of design patterns and principles of OOP/OOD
  • Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Studio, & GitHub
  • Background in developing and deploying SaaS applications and services into production using CI/CD tools.
  • Experience in building micro-services, REST based APIs, CI/CD tools.
  • Proven experience in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a track record of successful collaboration in cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven understanding of database technology
