Greenfield is seeking a talented and experienced Equity Research Analyst to join our dynamic and passionate team.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Equity Research Analyst will collect, analyze, and report on the external activities, strategies, and performance of Greenfield Global Inc. markets, industries, and market players. This newly created role will determine how best to provide the senior leadership team with strategic insights, market information, and industry intelligence to drive growth in line with the company’s objectives and long-range strategy.
The Equity Research Analyst will be a key source of information and ideas to Greenfield’s business unit and corporate executives, providing input to their strategic planning, forecasting, and M&A process.

Since 1989, Greenfield Global has been the leading supplier of high-purity alcohols, specialty solvents, custom blended solutions, and fuel ethanol to businesses worldwide, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to sole proprietorships.
Greenfield’s primary markets are renewable fuels, beverage alcohols, life science, food, flavor, fragrance, personal care, and industrials. Annually, the company fulfills over 35,000 orders in more than 50 countries through its extensive global supply chain, which includes 5 alcohol distilleries, 5 blending and packaging facilities, and 8 warehouses allowing Greenfield to deliver within 1-3 days. The company also operates one of the largest anaerobic digestion facilities in North America, converting more than 120,000 MT of source-separated organics every year to produce renewable natural gas.
Greenfield’s low-carbon ethanol helps industry decarbonize and meet net-zero targets, while its team of researchers and engineers continue to innovate and produce other sustainable fuels and chemicals such as green hydrogen, green methanol, sustainable aviation fuel and renewable natural gas.

Your Experience Should Include:
• Knowledge of specific industries or markets of interest to Greenfield Global Inc.
• Familiarity with advanced analytical tools and techniques, such as data visualization, predictive modeling, artificial intelligence (AI), etc.
• Proficiency in various research methods and tools, such as web analytics, databases, search engines, social media, etc.
• Reporting and presenting to executive-level executives with recommendations and appropriate data to back up hypotheses.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• A bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in business administration, marketing, economics, statistics, or a related field
• Investment banking, management consulting, or private equity experience background
Bonus Points if you Have Any of These:
• CPA, CFA is preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct primary and secondary research on the Company’s market, industry, and competitors using various sources, such as databases, websites, publications, surveys, interviews, etc.
• Prepare comprehensive research reports on key competitors within the industry by assessing the financial health, profitability, and growth prospects.
• Develop thought leadership on industry, market and global trends highlighting the impact on the Company’s three lines of business.
• Assess the implications of regulatory, competitive, market, financial, and investment-related risks.
• Identify and monitor key trends, creating and maintaining profiles, reports, dashboards, and presentations on the competitors’ strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis).
• Analyze complex quantitative and qualitative data efficiently and synthesize the output to provide actionable insights and recommendations which support strategic decision-making and planning.
• Stay updated on the latest developments and innovations in the field of competitive insights.
• Act as facilitator for strategy discussions to drive decision-making amongst senior team.
• Collaborate and communicate with internal stakeholders, such as managers, executives, finance, sales, marketing, operations, procurement, etc., to share relevant information and findings.
• Use straightforward, concise, structured, and compelling communication.
• Move easily between big-picture thinking and working in detail with relevant data.
• Anticipate stakeholder needs and develop and discuss potential solutions.
• Participate in due diligence as required.
• Assume additional projects and responsibilities as required.
• Research investment opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate maneuvers.
