**Job Title:** Logistics Manager


**Location:** Plano, TX


**Position Overview:**

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Manager to oversee the end-to-end process of managing product shipments, from contract signing to delivery and invoicing. This role involves coordinating customer orders, managing sales contracts, handling railcar fleet management, overseeing vendor invoicing, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills, able to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.


**Key Responsibilities:**


- **Coordinate Customer Shipments:** Receive orders, place them with the appropriate plant or terminal, and ensure timely dispatch according to customer needs.

- **Manage Sales Contracts:** Monitor and track ratable volumes, pricing (formula calculations), and manage over/under shipments per contract terms.

- **Customer Contact and Support:** Serve as the main point of contact for customers to address any concerns related to shipments, billing, or invoicing. Send necessary documentation (Bill of Lading, Certificate of Analysis, and Invoice) to customers promptly.

- **Invoice Management:** Responsible for invoicing customers for products, overtime, demurrage, etc., and assist with collection calls as needed.

- **Approve Vendor Invoices:** Review and approve vendor invoices, with a focus on freight expenses.

- **Railcar Fleet Management:** Track and manage the railcar fleet 2-3 times per week, addressing any issues such as delays or cars sitting idle. Follow up with railroads and bill customers for demurrage where applicable.

- **Financial Reporting:** Assemble weekly and monthly netbacks for accounting purposes.

- **Inventory Coordination:** Coordinate incoming shipments with vessels, barges, and brokers, and manage inventory pick-up, discharge, and product testing.

- **Maintain Documentation:** Keep updated copies of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Certificates of Analysis (COA) on file.

- **Inventory Management:** Maintain accurate product inventory records and reconcile them in a timely manner.

- **Process Improvement:** Identify opportunities to enhance logistics processes and implement improvements.

- **Special Projects:** Perform special projects as requested to support company objectives.


**Requirements:**


- Strong customer service skills with a focus on satisfaction and relationship management.

- 2-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or customer service roles.

- Basic accounting knowledge, including understanding of debits and credits.

- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

- Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent numerical skills.

- Ability to make sound judgments and quick decisions.

- Bachelor’s degree required.
