Senior Manager, Finance

Location: Cleveland (hybrid, 3 days in-office/2 days WFH)


We are seeking a highly motivated and enterprising Senior Manager of Finance to join our team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in Excel and has a strong foundation in both financial planning and accounting principles. The Senior Manager will be directly involved in the day-to-day financial operations, providing critical insights and support to drive the company's growth, process improvement, and ensure sound financial practices. This is a highly analytical role that requires a deep understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and basic accounting.


The Senior Manager of Finance will:

  • Lead and execute all aspects of financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance complex financial models to support business decisions and long-term planning.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to senior leadership, identifying trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights to support decision making and shape strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross functional leaders to prepare and manage the annual budget and ongoing forecasts.
  • Monitor financial performance against budget and forecasts, providing detailed variance analysis and recommendations.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, to senior management.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data, forecasts, and accounting records, proactively addressing any discrepancies.
  • Supervise a small team, providing guidance and oversight on accounting practices, reconciliations, and other department processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems, implementing best practices in finance and accounting.
  • Develop and enhance tools and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting, analysis, and accounting operations.


What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience in finance, FP&A, financial analysis, or a related role, with a strong hands on approach.
  • Basic accounting knowledge with the ability to supervise accounting processes and oversee a team of junior accountants.
  • Expert level proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, macros, pivot tables, and data visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
