The Superintendent will oversee and manage all aspects of multifamily construction projects, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of construction processes, and the ability to effectively communicate with project stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Supervise and coordinate daily activities on the construction site, ensuring that all work is completed according to plans, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, manage timelines, and ensure that milestones are met.
  • Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that the project meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
  • Safety: Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and manage subcontractors, tradespeople, and construction staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site, including scheduling conflicts, design changes, and unforeseen challenges.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between the client, project manager, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and inspection records.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all work complies with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project expenses and ensure that work is performed within the allocated budget.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role, with a focus on multifamily construction projects.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials. Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certifications: OSHA certification and other relevant industry certifications are a plus.
  • Attributes: Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
