What You Will Do

The Multiomics Associate Portfolio Manager will play a critical role in our investment team, focusing on the integration of multiomics (genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, etc.) in therapeutics. This individual will be responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities in companies developing advanced therapeutics leveraging multiomics data.


  • Investment Research & Analysis:

o Conduct in-depth research on companies in the therapeutics sector leveraging multiomics data.

o Analyze financial statements, market data, and technological advancements to assess investment potential.

o Develop detailed investment theses and present findings to senior management.

  • Portfolio Management:

o Assist in the management and oversight of the therapeutics-focused investment portfolio.

o Monitor and review the performance of investments and make recommendations for buy, hold, or sell decisions.

o Ensure that the portfolio aligns with ARK Invest’s strategic objectives and risk management policies.

  • Industry Engagement:

o Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and regulatory developments in the multiomics and therapeutics fields.

o Engage with industry experts, attend conferences, and build a network of contacts to enhance investment insights.

  • Team Collaboration:

o Collaborate with ARK’s research analysts and data scientists to integrate multiomics insights into investment strategies.

o Contribute to a collaborative team environment that fosters innovation and continuous learning.


Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:

o Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in a relevant field such as genomics, bioinformatics, molecular biology, or a related discipline. An MBA or CFA designation is a plus.


  • Experience:

o 3-5 years of experience in investment analysis or portfolio management with a focus on biotechnology, genomics, or therapeutics.

o Proven track record of identifying and evaluating investment opportunities in the life sciences sector.


  • Skills:

o Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex scientific and financial data.

o Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting investment ideas and research findings.

o Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and data analysis tools.
