We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Human Resources Manager in our Sunbury, OH corporate office. The HR Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of recruiting, administering benefits, and enforcing company policies and practices. At Vantage Logistics, the Human Resources Manager continuously strives to improve company culture and builds trusted relationships with employees and leaders.


Vantage Logistics is located in Sunbury, OH. This is a full-time, exempt role that is not eligible for overtime. The HR Manager will work on-site from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Applicants must be in a commutable distance to Sunbury, OH.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall company in Ohio and Florida.
  • Create and nourish a motivated, high-performing market culture.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, retention, and succession planning.
  • Coach leaders, provide training, and spearhead communication for new processes.
  • Provides support and guidance to management and staff when complex, sensitive questions and issues arise.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and related systems.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment highly desired.
  • A minimum of three years of human resource experience preferred.
