Registered Veterinary Technician

NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holidays

Galena Veterinary Care is a privately owned, newly constructed state of the art practice located in quaint downtown Galena, Ohio. We are currently a one doctor practice, with the expectation to expand as we grow. Our business hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8-5:30 with no evenings or weekend hours. We utilize Idexx diagnostics, Ezyvet cloud based software as well as digital ultrasound and radiography. We are currently looking to add a full time licensed Veterinary Technician to our team. As a licensed technician, you will utilize your knowledge and skills to the fullest extent. We are an easy going team who value work-life balance and look to support and encourage each other while providing excellent care to our patients and clients. Responsibilities

- Assist DVM with examinations, procedures, treatments

- Obtain thorough intake histories and document accordingly

- Educate and communicate effectively with clients

- Induce and monitor patients under general anesthesia and during sedated procedures

- Obtain blood samples, place IV catheters, as well as administer medications and treatments appropriately

- Perform in house laboratory testing and prepare send out samples

- Schedule appointments, create invoices and provide estimates

- Ability to restrain and lift patients
