Key Responsibilities:

  • Effective communication with clients, gathering medical histories and symptoms.
  • Conducting laboratory procedures such as hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecal examinations.
  • Performing diagnostic imaging while ensuring the safety of fellow staff members.
  • Demonstrating nursing skills, including patient restraint, medication administration (PO/IV/SUBQ/IM), bandage application and maintenance, IV catheter placement, venipuncture, surgical preparation, and anesthesia monitoring.
  • Expertise in dental prophylaxis.
Qualifications:
  • Certification or Licensure as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials between states.
  • Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology.
