Ledgent Technology has once again partnered with a key employer in the Wilsonville area for their open Data Analyst/Administrator role

Position Summary:

Our client is seeking a Data Analyst/Database Administrator to enhance data analytics across various business lines, supporting decision-making processes. The primary responsibility of this role is to establish a data warehouse, centralizing essential company data from diverse sources, and enabling divisional analysts to use BI tools for reporting. This role requires some travel to multiple business locations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Manage and oversee the collection of company data into a data repository using Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes. Data sources include enterprise software systems and manufacturing process data.

· Develop datasets for analysis by establishing online analytical processing (OLAP) cubes housed in a corporate data warehouse.

· Provide standard and ad-hoc reporting capabilities, including KPI reporting, metrics definition, and data collection. Assist divisional analysts in creating and maintaining metrics, reports, and dashboards.

· Manage data inputs and sources in the company's data warehouse using tools to migrate, transfer, and load data into an MS SQL Server environment.

· Provide training and technical support to divisional analysts for tools such as Microsoft PowerBI.

· Manage an effective and recurring ETL process, building data cubes from new and existing data sources.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

· On-site attendance is essential to effectively perform the listed duties.

Required Skills and Abilities:

· Ability to establish ODBC connections between different databases and platforms.

· Strong knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling.

· Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, T-SQL, PowerBI, Windows Server, shell scripting, and utilities.

· Experience with database administration (DBA), tuning, management, and security.

· Strong IT and communication skills.

· Ability to collaborate with multiple teams to optimize processes and reporting.

· Ability to address data-related support requests through a ticket management solution.

· Ability to manage time and workloads effectively in a dynamic environment.

· Willingness to provide occasional support after business hours.

· Ability to travel to other client locations as required.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in computer science or five years of related experience.

· Experience with SQL Server tuning and optimization preferred.

· Experience using SSIS and SSRS required.

· Experience in metadata creation, ETL process development, and reporting tools required.

· Data cleansing experience required.

· Relational application design and development experience preferred.

· Experience designing and implementing multidimensional and normalized data models.

· Experience with Human Machine Interface Software (HMI) and/or Programable Logic Controllers (PLC) preferred.

· Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Access skills preferred.
