Job Title: MEP Manager

Job Overview: The MEP Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and oversight of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within construction projects. This role ensures that all MEP systems are designed, installed, and maintained in compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Develop MEP project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate MEP systems into the overall project design.
  • Review project specifications and drawings to ensure MEP requirements are met.
  1. Design and Installation Oversight:
  • Supervise the design, installation, and commissioning of MEP systems.
  • Ensure that all MEP systems are installed according to design specifications, safety standards, and building codes.
  • Resolve technical issues and discrepancies related to MEP systems.
  1. Quality Control and Compliance:
  • Monitor the quality of MEP work and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of MEP systems to identify and address any defects or deficiencies.
  • Manage and document changes to project scope and specifications.
  1. Team Management:
  • Lead and manage MEP teams, including subcontractors and field staff.
  • Provide guidance, support, and training to team members as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  1. Budget and Resource Management:
  • Develop and manage budgets for MEP systems, including cost estimation and expense tracking.
  • Procure and manage resources, materials, and equipment required for MEP installations.
  • Review and approve invoices and expenditures related to MEP work.
  1. Communication and Reporting:
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare and present reports on MEP project status, progress, and issues.
  • Address and resolve any concerns or conflicts related to MEP systems.
  1. Safety and Risk Management:
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures for MEP installations.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with MEP systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certification or license (e.g., PE, PMP) preferred.
  • years of experience in MEP management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Proven experience in project management, budgeting, and team leadership.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with relevant software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM).

Working Conditions:

  • Office and field-based work environment.
  • May require occasional travel to project sites.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and construction environments.
