Director, EPMO Change Management

The Change Management Director will play a key role in ensuring Arhaus EPMO (Enterprise Project Management Office) projects and change initiatives meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage. This person will focus on the people side of change – including changes to business processes, systems and technologies, job roles and organizational structures. The primary responsibility of this role will be to create and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance. The Change Management Director will work through many others in the organization to succeed. This role will act as a coach for leaders at Arhaus in helping them fulfill the role of change sponsor. The Change Management Specialist may also provide direct support and coaching to Managers and Supervisors as they help their direct reports and teams through strategic transformations. The Change Management Director will also support the EPMO by integrating change management activities and timing into all project plans.


This position is located at the Arhaus Corporate Headquarters in Boston Heights, Ohio.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and apply a structured methodology to change management activities associated with EPMO projects
  • Assess the change impact required within the Arhaus organization for projects managed by the EPMO
  • Complete change management assessments
  • Identify, analyze, and prepare risk mitigation tactics
  • Identify and manage anticipated resistance
  • Consult and coach project and Leadership teams
  • Create actionable deliverables for change management levers, including communications plans, coaching plans, training plans, risk mitigation plans
  • Support communication efforts
  • Support training efforts
  • Support organizational design and definition of roles/ responsibilities
  • Integrate change management activities into project plans managed by the EPMO
  • Evaluate and ensure user readiness
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
  • Manage the change load associated with the EPMO portfolio


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Retail Merchandising, Communications or a related field
  • Master’s degree a plus
  • Must have worked in or be familiar with a Retail environment and can assimilate and understand business and technology concepts
  • Possess a solid understanding of how organizations go through change and change processes
  • Experience and knowledge of implementable change management methodologies, principles, and tools
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
  • Ability to establish strong relationships and liaise with business partners to provide solutions to meet their needs
  • Exceptional communication skills – written and verbal
  • Ability to articulate messages to a wide variety of audiences
  • Ability to influence others and move towards a common vision or goal
  • Highly motivated team player and self-starter
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and/or Access)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and have a “roll up your sleeves” and “today not tomorrow” mentality
