The Director of Quality is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and control processes within the food and beverage operations. This role ensures that all products meet or exceed company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The Director will lead a team of quality professionals, manage quality systems, and work closely with production, procurement, and R&D teams to maintain and enhance product quality and safety.
The Director of Quality will be responsible for:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s quality management system (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Continuously assess and improve quality processes and procedures.
- Ensure that all products meet local, national, and international food safety and quality regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in food safety laws and regulations, and implement necessary adjustments to company practices.
- Conduct internal audits and manage external audits from regulatory agencies and customers.
- Prepare and present quality reports and metrics to senior management.
The Director of Quality will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within the food and beverage industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., HACCP, SQF, ISO 22000) are preferred.
