Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a variety of leasing functions, including showing apartment units, pre-qualifying applicants, gathering complete applications, and structuring leasing packages.
  • Lead all marketing efforts to attract new tenants, including advertising property vacancies through current marketing tools like web-based platforms and other industry-proven methods.
  • Build relationships with the local community and act as the company's brand ambassador.
  • Conduct Move-In Orientations.
  • Maintain proactive communication with tenants regarding reported issues, planned maintenance, lease renewals, and other tenancy-related topics.
  • Process rent payments and reconcile other charges to keep accounts current.
  • Create and distribute weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Represent the company to prospective applicants, real estate agents, and brokers in a courteous and professional manner, always prioritizing customer service.
  • Inspect vacant units to ensure the best quality for our residents.
  • Perform necessary administrative functions for a successful property management office.
  • Stay updated on laws and local codes related to landlord and tenant rights, and multifamily properties.
  • Identify and implement best practices to optimize the property management business.

Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday-Friday, with occasional weekends for important showings.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Fluent in Spanish (preferred)
  • 3-5 years of Leasing/Real Estate experience
  • Knowledge of tenant, eviction, fair housing laws, and local codes related to the multifamily industry
  • High-level computer proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work well within a team
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Solid financial analysis, bookkeeping, and account reconciliation skills
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Strong marketing and sales skills
  • Excellent customer service and resident relations experience
  • Reliable car with insurance
  • Willingness to travel locally

Preferred/Bonus Skills:

  • Proficiency in Yardi and AppFolio (strongly preferred) Property Management Software
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience with DropBox
  • Experience with DocuSign
