Overview: We are seeking experienced Contract Specialists to join our team at WHS-AD. The ideal candidates will have recent, relevant experience using contract writing software systems to create modifications and contracts, specifically PD2 (Procurement Desktop Defense, or SPS, Standard Procurement System).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and write modifications and contracts using PD2 software.
  • Support federal employee contract specialists in their duties.
  • Administer cost-type contracts, conduct quantitative analysis, plan negotiation strategies, conduct negotiations, and document results.
  • Utilize cost and price analysis techniques.


Qualifications:

  • Recent, relevant experience using contract writing software systems (PD2, PRISM, ConWrite).
  • Former federal employee contract specialist or contracting officer with a warrant (preferably for the Department of Defense).
  • Former contractor supporting federal employee contract specialists in creating/writing modifications and contracts using PD2 software.


Education: Bachelor’s degree.


Certifications: Preferred contracting certifications include NCMA CFCM, NCMA CPCM, DAWIA Level III contracting, FAC-C Level III contracting.


Skills/Technologies:

  • Experience administering cost-type contracts.
  • Quantitative analysis skills.
  • Ability to plan negotiation strategies, conduct negotiations, and document results.
  • Proficiency in cost and price analysis techniques.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated pre-award/award/post-award contracting experience procuring products and services utilizing FAR parts 8, 12, 13, 15, and 16.
  • 4 years of demonstrated pre-award/award contracting experience.
  • 2 years of demonstrated post-award contracting experience.
  • DOD contracting experience and familiarity with FARS and DFARS.


Nice to Have:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.


Preferred Experience:

  • Former federal employee contract specialist or contracting officer with a warrant.
  • Experience with the Department of Defense.
  • Experience using PD2 software.
