Role Description

This is a full-time role for an Assistant Project Manager at J&B Solar. The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day management of solar projects. The Assistant Project Manager works with and supports the project management team. Their primary goal is to support the completion of the projects on time, on budget and to an acceptable standard. The APM also monitors workers to maintain these standards throughout the construction process. The PM in charge is responsible for the project contract, scope of work, project budget and construction schedule. The APM assists the PM in the management of all of these.

 

Qualifications

  • Verifiable skills, knowledge, and success managing a construction operation; 6 + year’s experience.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and motivate, coach and develop employees.
  • Working knowledge of construction practices in solar with an emphasis on mechanical scopes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BA) or Construction Management (CM) preferred.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Must be a self-motivator and team participant.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PPT, and Outlook
  • Proficiency in expediting project activities
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Experience in the renewable energy industry is a plus
