Role Overview

As a Billing Analyst, you'll be responsible for creating and processing client invoices, ensuring their accuracy and timely delivery. You'll collaborate closely with the Client Value team to manage working capital, playing a crucial role within our broader Finance department.

This position is part of a dynamic, global Billing team. We're seeking a flexible team player who excels in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail, comfort with numbers, and a proactive problem-solving attitude are essential for this role.

Core Responsibilities

  • Generate and process client invoices, including uploading to client e-billing systems as needed, while adhering to client agreements, local regulations, tax rules, and internal billing guidelines.
  • Modify invoices according to instructions from partners, assistants, and the Client Value team, following firm procedures.
  • Accurately manage time and cost transfers, write-offs, and write-downs, ensuring proper authorization.
  • Maintain a thorough audit trail of work to comply with global and local billing standards.
  • Efficiently handle personal workload to meet deadlines and deliver precise results.
  • Assist in training new team members on billing processes as required.

Essential:

  • Strong numerical skills with the ability to reconcile data accurately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Effective communication skills, able to interact with colleagues, including partners, executive assistants, and Client Value teams.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities, with the flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting deadlines and managing expectations.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a billing role, especially with knowledge of law firm billing systems like Thompson Reuters Elite 3e.
