Responsibilities of Associate Graphic Designer/Photographer:

  • Assist Photographers and Senior Graphic Designers
  • Work closely with Design, Sales and Production teams
  • Photo editing using Adobe Photoshop and Capture One to correct color, adjust for balanced lighting and remove imperfections; combining elements of photos to develop photorealistic garment samples
  • Graphic Design: renderings and artwork for presentations and projects; logos, branding materials and assets; typography, ensuring consistency and quality in all visual elements.
  • Packaging Design: research, design, and develop packaging, core trim, hardware, logos, tags, labels, etc., mockups to meet client standards and comply with industry guidelines.
  • Write Technical packs to include all details such as graphic technique, placement and sizing, for licensed apparel brands. Construct packaging presentation to assist in direction
  • Video: editing using Adobe Premier Pro as needed
  • Assist photographer on set-up, composition, and lighting, leading to digital still image and video capture. Collaborate on set with creative partners, Styling, Art Direction

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, Fine Arts or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in graphic design or packaging design
  • Adobe- Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, experience necessary
  • Photoshop: focus on retouching images.
  • Illustrator and Photoshop; focus on illustration, packaging, and typography,
  • Familiarity with the Pantone color system
  • Ability to understand packaging die-cut concepts and construct physical packaging mockups
  • Knowledge of studio photography, videography, and lighting techniques is a plus
  • Knowledge of Capture One and Adobe Premiere Pro is a plus
  • Open-minded to learn photography skills and other necessary skills
  • Drawing by hand and painting skill is a plus
  • Must have their pulse on the latest in art/design/fashion/typography trends
  • Brand development and consistency with the capability of solving complex problems through effective Design
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills with attention to detail
  • Be flexible and open-minded and respond to constructive criticism with revisions to designs and projects as necessary. Ability to handle multiple styles and designs. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment
  • Be able to lift photo studio tools and equipment


Work Location and Schedule

This job will require that you work form our office in New York, NY, weekdays during

normal business hours.
