Job Description:

  • A Security Engineer provides complex technology implementation support in a product-centric environment; is comfortable bridging the gap between legacy development or operations teams and working toward a shared culture and vision; works to ensure developers create the most secure systems while enhancing the privacy of all system users; and has experience with white-hat hacking and fundamental computer science concepts.
  • The Security Engineer will perform security audits, risk analysis, application-level vulnerability testing, and security code reviews; develop and implement technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities; and conduct research to identify new attack vectors.
  • Security Engineers will possess knowledge and experience in safeguarding sensitive data from cyber-attacks.
  • Years of Experience: 6-8
  • Required Skills: Minimum of seven (7) years of experience with developing and implementing technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze security systems and seek improvements on a constant basis.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to solve complex security issues and think out of the box.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting security policies and procedures, as well as explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to identify vulnerabilities and review security controls.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well within a team, sharing responsibilities, and collaborating on security efforts.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to stay up-to-date with the latest in security technology and threats.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to information security (e.g., NIST, HIPAA).
  • Familiarity with Cloud Security: Knowledge of cloud service providers (e.g., AWS) and their security tools and features.
