We are looking to hire a Strategy Director of Paid Media to develop dynamic paid media recommendations for our key clients and new business. In this role, you will persuasively lead clients through strategic recommendations, partnering with agency teams to ensure flawless execution. This role requires extensive subject matter expertise across media channels, and the drive and talent to partner with client stakeholders to translate business goals into programs that drive exceptional results. This role is hybrid to our Chicago office.


Responsibilities:

•Cultivate strategic partnerships with client, agency and media partner stakeholders.

•Lead persuasive and engaging client presentations with iron-clad rationale of strategic recommendations.

•Provide senior level oversight on key client engagements, maintain deep category expertise, and translate business challenges into solutions.

•Leverage a deep understanding of omnichannel media (e.g. paid social, programmatic, CTV, digital audio, DOOH, SEM, SEO and emerging channels) to develop innovative media programs that deliver on a wide range of business goals.

•Lead discovery phase for media clients, collaborate with strategy and business intelligence teams to deliver qualitative and quantitative research to shape customer analysis and insights to inform planning.

•Collaborate with key department leads to inform creative, experience / UX, testing roadmaps and measurement strategies.

•Oversee cross channel campaign strategy, forecasting, budget allocations and partner with Channel and Ad Operations Centers of Excellence to ensure client objectives are exceeded.

•Continuously evolve processes from briefing to execution, remain embedded in all campaign operations post launch.

•Leverage findings from in market performance and test outcomes to continuously refine testing roadmaps and ongoing media strategy updates.

•Partner with Account Services leads in developing key strategic approaches for cross sell of media products and services to influential client decision makers.

•Communicate wins, case studies, and points of view on relevant topics to help ensure our work is visible to the industry, clients and the broader agency.

•Motivated by constantly changing media, consumer dynamics and remain actively tied into the evolving media landscape to drive constant innovation.


Qualifications:

•8+ years of strategic paid media experience, primarily in agencies.

•Excellent track record of strong client relationships, persuasive and engaging client presentations and successful results.

•Fluency in developing research and insights to inform audience planning and expertise in leveraging various audience building and identity solutions to deliver optimal targeting (MRI, 1st Party, Curated PMPs, In Platform, etc.).

•In-depth understanding of full-funnel marketing plans and all digital channels, including but not limited to paid social, paid search, programmatic, SEO, organic content, email, etc.

•Strong expertise in cross channel video planning, buying and management including CTV/OTT, Social and YouTube.

•Fluency in core media platforms, including but not limited to The Trade Desk, LiveRamp, Google Campaign Manager, Google Ads, META, etc.

•Knowledge and ongoing exploration of emerging channels and advanced measurement solutions (closed loop, foot tracking, incrementality).

•Subject matter expertise in digital ad tech, privacy legislation, brand safety, identity resolution, personalization, DCO and advanced measurement.
