Jaime Barron, PC is a mid-size law firm focusing solely on the practice of Immigration Law. Our firm opened almost 25 years ago and has offices in Texas, Virginia, and Washington (state). With a growing practice, we have an available position for an Immigration Attorney in the DMV-area office located in Falls Church, Virginia.


Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Immigration Attorney at Jaime Barron, P.C. Immigration Law Group's office located in Falls Church, VA. Interested individuals should send their resume via email to kelleyo@jaimebarron.com.


Responsibilities:

Jaime Barron, PC is seeking an Immigration Attorney who is an excellent communicator, team player, and self-starter. The ideal candidate can have experience in various legal areas with a strong desire to specialize in immigration law. This role requires handling a high-volume caseload, interacting with clients, managing a team of paralegals, and meeting deadlines. Organizational and project management skills are crucial, along with the ability to keep up with legislative changes and judicial case law.


Duties:

• Manage a high-volume caseload, including day-to-day interactions with clients and potential clients.

• Coordinate case and legal strategy, managing multiple cases, paralegals, projects, and deadlines.

• Train and supervise staff, ensuring effective case management and adherence to firm protocols.

• Prepare and revise court documents, including motions, briefs, and memoranda.

• Conduct legal research to support case development and strategy.

• Keep abreast of legislative changes and judicial case law impacting immigration.

• Meet with potential new clients, providing consultations and developing case strategies.

• Handle court hearings and trials, representing clients effectively.

• Attend USCIS interviews in representation of clients at the local field offices.

• Become an expert in various immigration matters, including Family Petitions, Asylum, Individual Hearings, SIJIS, U-Visas, and Waivers.

• Market the firm's services and work one Saturday a month on a rotational basis.


Qualifications:

• J.D. or L.L.M. from an ABA Accredited Law School is required.

• Active Bar License in Good Standing from any U.S. State or Puerto Rico is required.

• Experience in immigration law is preferred.

• Spanish fluency is required.

• Strong organizational and project management skills.

• Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client interaction skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
