Dynamic apparel company seeks detail-oriented Senior Import Associate who is a self-starter and can work independently. The ideal candidate must have a background in imports/logistics. Proficiency in Excel required.
Responsibilities include:
• Reviewing all vessel bookings and working with Production Manager for booking approval
• Keeping track of all vessel bookings to make sure that goods sail on schedule
• Updating tracking charts and sales team on any departure delays or delays in transit
• Working with factories to collect shipping documents after goods sail
• Reviewing all shipping documents against the computer system and WIP reports to verify accuracy before sending to imports for entry
• Checking imports entries to make sure that documents were entered correctly
• Working with imports team/warehouses on discrepancies in receiving and reconciling with the AP team to make sure we do not pay for overages/shortages.
