JCW Search is partnered with a regional bank client in Stamford, CT looking for a Commercial Credit Analyst.


Position Overview: As a Commercial Credit Analyst, you will play a critical role in evaluating and managing the creditworthiness of commercial loan applicants. You will analyze financial statements, assess risk, and provide insightful recommendations to support lending decisions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Credit Analysis: Evaluate financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to assess the creditworthiness of commercial loan applicants.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and analyze potential risks associated with loan applications and make recommendations to mitigate those risks.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed credit reports and analysis for presentation to senior management and credit committees.
  • Lending Support: Collaborate with relationship managers to understand client needs and provide data-driven insights to support lending decisions.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all credit analyses and recommendations comply with regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
  • Portfolio Management: Monitor the performance of existing loans and conduct periodic reviews to ensure ongoing credit quality.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1-5 years of experience in commercial credit analysis, lending, or a related financial field.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data; proficiency in financial modeling and credit risk assessment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with credit analysis software and financial systems; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present findings clearly and effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of credit analysis.
