Director of Catering

Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated and hands-on Director of Marketing and Sales who can independently lead our efforts in growing revenue, expanding market presence, and building a strong brand identity. As a key player in our company, you will drive marketing and sales initiatives without the support of a dedicated team initially. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, capable of working autonomously, with a passion for both strategic planning and tactical execution. As the company grows, this role will evolve into leading and building a full marketing and sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing & Sales Strategy:
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and sales strategies to drive business growth.
- Manage all aspects of marketing, including branding, social media, content creation, PR, and digital advertising.
- Build and maintain a sales pipeline, driving lead generation and managing the sales process from prospect to close.
- Conduct market research to understand trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
- Design campaigns that effectively target key demographics and drive customer acquisition.
Sales Execution:
- Lead sales efforts directly by engaging with potential clients, presenting solutions, and negotiating contracts.
- Drive catering sales, working with clients to plan events, coordinate menus, and ensure exceptional customer experiences.
- Develop strong relationships with key accounts and identify opportunities for new partnerships and collaborations.
- Proactively seek out catering opportunities with businesses, events, and private parties to grow the catering side of the business.
- Meet or exceed sales targets while managing the entire sales cycle independently, from lead generation to closing deals.
Budget & Resource Management:
- Manage the marketing and sales budget, making the most of available resources to maximize impact and ROI.
- Identify cost-effective strategies for lead generation and customer acquisition with limited resources.
Reporting & Communication:
- Provide regular updates and performance reports to senior leadership, highlighting key metrics, challenges, and opportunities.
- Adjust marketing and sales strategies based on data analysis and evolving business goals.
Future Team Building:
- As the company grows, help identify and hire marketing and sales professionals to build out a high-performing team.
- Establish workflows, processes, and KPIs to guide the future team in scaling marketing and sales efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in a marketing and sales role, with a demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Proven track record of creating and executing successful marketing and sales strategies with limited resources.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, CRM tools, and sales automation platforms.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- A self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Ability to think strategically while being hands-on with daily tasks.
