Brunel is seeking a Drafter to work with a major oil and gas company located in Houston, TX on a short term contract.


Responsibilities

  • Draft essential heritage electrical drawings, instrumentation drawings, schematics, plot plans and P&ID diagrams using AutoCAD or similar software as directed by design supervisor.
  • Integrate all heritage discipline documentation using script batch software as per company standards.
  • Manage archive drawing files as directed by Document Coordinator.
  • Provide support to other team members as needed and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including PHA, Arc Flash Study packages, electrical specifications, and drawings.
  • Build redlines and update Document Management System files and transmittals.
  • Coordinate MOC drafting as per asset engineer revisions.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in electrical design or a related role.
  • Proficient in the use of 2D AutoCAD and MicroStation. 3D AutoCAD preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical design principles, practices, and standards.
  • Knowledge and application of company engineering design and ISA and company CAD drafting standards.
  • AAS Degree or 2+ years of equivalent craft / designer work.
  • Piping and structural drafting a plus.
  • Software/Hardware Qualifications Required:
  • AutoCAD
  • Basic computer/PC skills
  • Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
