Position Description:

This Mechanical Drafter-P&ID position will be onsite in Sheridan, TX.

The Drafter will assist in the SPID conversion efforts by picking up field redlines on P&IDs according to company standards as well as multiple discipline drawing redlines. All drafting will be generated using AutoCAD and 3rd party software (CADWorx) while working with a multi-discipline team including Project Managers, Design Engineers, Design Manger, Design Supervisors, and Drafters.


Duties and Responsibilities to include the following but not limited to:

  • Knowledge of P&ID symbols and terminology a must.
  • Works as a team player with the operations, project managers, and the design team to establish various types of CADD drawing packages.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with coworkers, operations, and engineering department personnel.
  • Develop and/or create various types of drawings: P&ID’s Plot Plans, Diagrams ect.
  • Develop and ensure complete drawing packages for IFA (Issued for Approval)


Position Requirements and Skills:

  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience with a degree.
  • A minimum of 7 to 10 years’ experience without a degree.
  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years’ experience in Midstream Design.
  • Excellent working knowledge of 3D and 2D pipeline design software (i.e. CADWorx, AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD Electrical).
  • Knowledge and experience using Windows operating systems.
  • Must have good communication skills, written & verbal, work with minimal supervision, and simultaneously manage multiple projects to meet scheduled deadlines.
