Hudson Martin PC is a law firm located in Carmel and Palm Desert, California. We are looking for a full-time, in-office Employment Law Attorney in our Carmel Office. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a solid grasp all aspects of employment law drafting employment manuals and paperwork for business clients, advising business clients on HR best practices and case by case situations, conducting employment investigations, and providing legal advice and counsel - employment transactional law and employment litigation experience preferred
  • Have a demonstrated ability to plan ahead and stay organized
  • Have a positive, can do, will do attitude
  • Have a strong work ethic and work long hours when needed to meet required billable hours or client deadlines
  • Be a terrific communicator who can rock frequent in person or telephone calls with clients and team members
  • Be a solution finder
  • Have excellent writing skills and take pride in well crafted employment related documents as to content and form
  • Have initiative with a solid drive to learn, and to multi-task while meeting tight deadlines


Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate degree
  • California State Bar License holder in good standing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in employment law
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations
  • Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and work effectively under deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team


Experience:

  • 3+ years of employment law attorney experience with a law firm
