The Outside Sales Team Sales Manager’s role is to provide direction to sales teams, setting goals and achieving sales target. This position reports directly to the CEO/President and Vice President. Responsibilities include managing teams of sales representativesestablish training programs for sales representatives, plan, coordinate and lead core sales and marketing efforts, goals, and monitor progress to ensure activities are in accordance with the developed sales objectives.  Provides guidance on sales principles, business policies and practices. Recruit and train staff as necessary to meet or surpass expectations of customers. Maintains contact with key markets and promote the company in all capacities. This position fosters excellence in executing JM Test Core Values, following all system protocols in compliance with those standards, regulations and company policies.


Education & Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Industry experience preferred.
  • 10+ years industry experience preferably with roles in leadership and/or supervisory positions; experience in all aspects of customer relationship management.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft office products.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Strategic planning, goal setting, and forecasting skills.
  • Strong financial skills with acumen for developing and executing business strategies.
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
  • Ability to represent the company publicly, effectively communicating with customers and developing client relationships through excellent customer service.
  • Ability to assess customer needs; effectively communicates with customers, with focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Quality, Safety and Technical standards.
  • General knowledge of administrative and clerical processes.
  • Ability to evaluate and coordinate with an individual.
  • Ability to create and monitor personal development plans.
  • Human Resources skills: Recruitment and selection knowledge, training, understanding of compensation and benefits, problem solving and labor relations.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and changing market environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to make sure that multiple deadlines are met.
  • Ability to multi-task with attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time.


Primary Responsibilities: 

  1. Leads Sales teams by providing guidance and setting standards to achieve overall company goals. Leads business unit and interacts with business units at all company locations. Provides guidance on issues offering them advice, support, motivation or information they need in order to help them meet their sales objectives.
  2. Adhering to the company's core values as well as hold others to the same company values and policies.
  3. Performs personnel functions in areas of selection and training. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the support functions.
  4. Assist sales management team with departmental training programs, policies, procedures and processes. Implements and monitors department policies within your team and procedures to support operations and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. Support organizational process and policy changes, disseminating directives and policies in a clear and concise manner.              
  5. Work with team members to develop sales objectives. Plan and implement sales programs. Coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, and goals.
  6. Coordinates sales activities and delegate duties to ensure timely and proper completion of all work. Supervises sales activities directly related to providing products and services. Reviews sales work schedules and assign responsibility for work or functional activities to appropriate staff.
  7. Monitor progress review financial statements, sales activity reports, and/or other performance data to ensure activities are in accordance with the developed sales objectives.

  9. Approving expense request
  10. Overnight Travel
  11. Account assignments and reassignments
  12. Establish goals and monitors performance standards. Evaluates performance of employees. Conduct performance appraisals in a fair and timely manner on an annual or as needed basis. Generate action plans to enhance performance.
  13. Work with HR and internal sales support group to carry out any performance improvement and/or corrective action plans for individual team members.
