The Director of IT leads and manages the company's information technology operations, ensuring the development and implementation of efficient and secure IT systems. The Director of IT position requires a strong background in IT management, strategic planning, and team leadership, with a keen ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the company’s business objectives and growth plans.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and security systems.
- Lead and manage the IT department, including hiring, training, and performance management of IT staff.
- Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of data and IT services through effective cybersecurity measures and disaster recovery planning.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and solutions to improve business processes and productivity.
- Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts to ensure cost-effective solutions and quality service delivery.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation and efficiency within the company.
- Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to employees, ensuring timely resolution of IT-related issues.
- Prepare and present reports on IT performance, projects, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong background in Microsoft software stack including ERP and CRM applications with solid experience across industry leading business software platforms
- Experience leading technology projects including ERP and other business systems
- Proven experience in strategic planning and execution of IT initiatives
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and best practices
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Proficient in budgeting and resource allocation
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in the food industry or a similar fast-paced environment is a plus
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, PMP) are highly desirable
