Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for an IT Director to join our team in Browns Mills, New Jersey. In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership and support in developing, implementing, and coordinating our instructional and administrative technology plans. You will work closely with various teams to enhance learning through technology and promote efficiency in our operations.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Director of Technology to review and recommend equipment purchases, manage bids, and standardize equipment.
• Supervise the technical staff and school-based technology coordinators to maintain an effective team.
• Develop a district-wide master plan for the use of technology in education and prepare budget needs for implementation and maintenance.
• Assist in securing grants and funding, including the E-Rate Program, for advancing school technology.
• Support the organization of seminars and workshops to train staff and students on technology integration.
• Provide hands-on training and demonstration lessons for teachers and administrators on using educational technology effectively.
• Maintain communication with key distributors of educational technology.
• Support the District Technology Committee in selecting and evaluating courseware materials.
• Collaborate with the Curriculum and Instruction Department to ensure smooth integration of technology into educational programs.
• Develop and maintain district-wide electronic information systems.
• Keep accurate inventories of courseware, computer equipment, and ensure compliance with license and copyright protections.
• Assist in planning phased replacements of technology hardware and facilitate maintenance activities.
• Manage district technology related to network design, connectivity, remote access, and other services.
• Help troubleshoot and maintain voice, data, video networks, and PA systems.
• Assist with state, local, and federal submissions related to technology.
• Implement protocols to prevent and respond to cybersecurity attacks.
• Ensure confidentiality of staff records and maintain discretion in sharing information.
• Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior when working with students, staff, and external agencies.
• Act as a role model for staff and students with a positive attitude, professional attire, and a strong work ethic.
• Participate in workshops, in-service programs, and required meetings.
• Support the integration of technology into curriculum plans.
• Perform duties with professionalism, maintaining confidentiality of district and Board of Education information.• Proven experience in IT management roles, preferably as an IT Director
• In-depth understanding and hands-on experience with Cisco Technologies
• Proficiency in Cloud Technologies, including implementation and management
• Extensive knowledge and experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
• Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and solutions
• Experience with Backup Technologies to ensure data safety and recovery
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, including troubleshooting and maintenance
• Ability to negotiate and manage contracts effectively
• Experience in managing deployments of new systems or technologies
• Proficiency in providing Deskside Support to staff and resolving technical issues quickly
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Ability to strategize and develop effective IT policies and procedures
• Strong project management skills, with a track record of successful project completion
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
