Job Summary

The Affiliate Sales Representative at Ripe is built for a results-oriented individual with a talent for building relationships. This position will play a pivotal role in expanding our network of demand-generating partners. Imagine forging connections with major travel and entertainment organizations, including major festivals, concerts, professional sports, and conventions. You will identify high-performing potential affiliates, cultivate mutually beneficial relationships, and collaborate to connect travelers with incredible lodging options in markets all across the US and Canada. 


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to identify and recruit high-performing affiliate partners, with a primary focus on travel and entertainment organizations, youth sports, festivals, and other major local events. 
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with affiliates through proactive communication and ongoing support.
  • Negotiate and manage affiliate contracts, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze affiliate program performance, identifying opportunities to optimize and grow traffic and booking conversions.
  • Regularly report on key metrics to demonstrate the success of the affiliate program and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest affiliate marketing trends and best practices to ensure program effectiveness, particularly those relevant to the travel and entertainment industries.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales, or a related field (minimum 1-2 years).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong understanding of terminology, strategies, and best practices within the travel, lodging, and entertainment industries.
  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse partners, including major event organizers, corporations, travel influencers, hoteliers and DMO representatives.
  • Data-driven approach with experience in CRM and reporting tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Passion for sales, the travel industry, and a desire to learn and grow within the travel and entertainment marketing space.
  • Understanding of DMO goals and objectives, and how travel and lodging play a role in their success.


Location

Ripe is headquartered in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. Local candidates may be preferred with a 60% office time / 40% work-from-home option, with remote candidates additionally eligible based on qualification. Occasional business travel will be required for this position.
