Overview and Focus of the Position

At Algas-SDI we provide ourselves on having the highest quality products in the industry. A critical enabler in delivering high quality products is our Process Engineering Teams. The Process Engineer will apply engineering concepts to optimize the equipment and procedures to achieve industry-leading product reliability and uptime. You will focus on the design, development, and operation of the integrated systems of production to obtain high quality and economically competitive products. You will also lead the review, implementation, and approval of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notice (ECNs). This include the responsibility of creating and maintaining records and related files such as manufacturing drawings, internal technical specifications, operations and maintenance manuals, and performance data.


Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, optimize and improve assembly and manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs to consistently deliver high-quality products.
  • Develop thermal- and electro-mechanical products that meet customer requirements.
  • Deign thermal- and electro-mechanical products by conducting engineering and design programs and applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
  • Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
  • Confirm product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods.
  • Create and maintain all revisions-controlled engineering documentation and all engineering controlled documents as they relate to the product lines.
  • Assure product quality by design testing methods.
  • Review and sign off finished products.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1-4 years of experience in an Industrial Product Engineering field.
  • Experience with the application of heat transfer, thermo-mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical engineering methods.
  • Proficient in the application of SolidWorks int he creation of manufacturing and assembly drawings.
  • Thorough understanding of drafting standards.
  • Experience with hands-on troubleshooting and problem solving.
