The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced, collaborative environment and will excel in a multi-functional team addressing both immediate technical needs and providing long term solutions. Together, we'll be crafting an exciting future


Candidates are required to submit a portfolio. Portfolios should include examples of 3D modeling and scripting samples.


Location: Hybrid onsite Tuesday-Thurusday in Santa Clara, CA OR Seattle, WA

Duration: 12+ months


Key Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience as a Technical Artist
  • Hands-on experience with 3D modeling - not looking for graphic design
  • Good understanding of developing creative tools for artists. Someone who has experience building art pipelines and creative pipelines. (game engines or VR/AR technology)
  • Experience supporting various art disciplines like character art, environment art, etc.
  • Experience building tools for Maya, VRay, Perforce, PyQT
  • Experience with Python scripting in Maya
  • Able to quickly learn new API’s, programs and develop usable code that fits into the larger team goals using functional and Object Oriented Programming approaches
  • Experience developing for FTrack, Shotgun or equivalent production management software
  • An eye towards automation and procedural content development solutions
  • Knowledge of high fidelity asset development techniques for games, film, VFX, VR, AR, and MR experiences
  • Able to lead small initiatives without significant oversight
  • Experience working with external teams, documentation, and training others
  • Proficiency in multiple applications like Maya, Vray, Substance, Houdini or others
  • Experience with offline and realtime rendering solutions


Description

As a Technical Artist in this role, you will focus on improving the visual quality and

development of 3D graphics used to train computer vision and machine learning

algorithms through content, lighting, rendering, tools, pipelines, and innovative

solutions. You have creative and technical experience that can push visual boundaries,

and develop new methodologies for solving complex synthetic data content challenges

for offline and real time environments. We work with internal and external teams

developing synthetic data content for computer vision and machine learning

technologies, and you'll be working with them to bring our vision to life.
