Job Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing all equipment in the various production departments. This position will also assist with miscellaneous facilities repairs as requested by the maintenance engineering manager.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the operation, set up, maintenance and documentation for the Blow Molding machines and equipment.
· Responsible for repair and maintenance of plant machinery and equipment such Heat Sealers, Air Compressors, Chiller, Production printers and Pick and Place Robotics, and other miscellaneous repairs as needed.
· Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
· Responsible for the repair or replacement of control devices such as PLC, VFD, safety curtains, switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed.
· Under direction from the Manager, be able to modify new and existing equipment while maintaining the integrity of safety and warranty.
· Responsible for assisting with miscellaneous facility repairs.
· Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
· Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
· Proficient with MS office.
· Ability to communicate with outside vendors as needed.
· Ability to research replacement parts.
· Will perform preventive maintenance (PM) maintenance of the equipment and mechanical systems including but not limited to controls, pumps, and motors.
· Knows and understands all site safety procedures.
· Maintains appropriate records and reports.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex systems.
· Experience with mechanics, machine setup and breakdown.
· Extensive experience with measurement tools, both mechanical and electrical.
· Able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
· Ability to effectively communicate issues and needs of the department to others.
· Organized with detail oriented.
· Ability to multi-task
· Ability to accurately prioritize multiple demands in an effective and safe manner.
· Ability and willingness to learn and teach.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· College or technical school experience a plus
· 5 years + experience
· Technical certifications including HVAC, PLC or similar would be preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods standing and walking.
· Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, squat, climb, and reach and move as needed to clean and service machinery.
· Must be able to visually inspect machines.
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
· Must be able to use work with small and heavy hand tools and parts for extended periods of time.

2:00 pm- 10:30 pm
