Pool Maintenance Technicians are tasked with maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our swimming pools. This includes utilizing specialized tools to remove debris, scrubbing pool surfaces, and applying necessary chemicals to uphold water quality. Additionally, they are responsible for the overall upkeep of the pool area, which may involve cleaning surrounding decks, managing landscaping debris, and assisting the maintenance team as needed.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Utilizing nets and other equipment to remove debris from the pool.
  • Employing pressure washing techniques to maintain pool cleanliness.
  • Conducting daily tests of water temperature, chemical balance, and clarity.
  • Brushing algae off pool walls and floors to ensure a clean swimming environment.
  • Maintaining the pool deck by sweeping and removing leaves and other debris.
  • Ensuring proper functioning of pool equipment such as filters and motors.
  • Cleaning storage areas and equipment including pumps, filters, and heaters.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
  • Consistent attendance in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules based on property needs.
  • Ability to focus on tasks and complete assignments timely despite interruptions.
  • Basic arithmetic skills for completing timecards and inventory tasks.
  • Proficiency in operating a computer efficiently.
  • Capacity to maintain positive relationships with staff while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Preferred experience of 6 months to 1 year.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch as needed for cleaning tasks.
  • Safe operation of golf carts, resort vehicles, and pool cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to lift approximately seventy-five (75) pounds using safe techniques.
  • Physical capability to push heavy carts and manage trash cans.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for documenting completed tasks.
  • Ability to perform various physical activities including grasping, writing, and repetitive motions.
