JOB DESCRIPTION: SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER


Job Summary

Creative Retail Packaging is a Houston-based company with over 40 years of experience in the strategic sourcing and manufacturing of custom packaging. We are a customer service-based company with clients in retail, restaurant and e-commerce. We pride ourselves on our problem-solving expertise and ability to source and deliver custom packaging to clients nation-wide. Our sales offices are located in Houston, Austin, Chicago, and Atlanta. Our logistics department services out of our Houston warehouse and office location.

 

We are looking to build our client services department by hiring a senior level account manager. This position supports our sales executives in overall management of accounts by providing accurate/timely coordination of packaging development, quoting, order/production management and shipment coordination - to ultimately achieve our clients’ brand/business objectives and CRP’s goals.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong computer, math, analytical thinking, organizational & communication skills, while staying focused on details, deadlines and company results. To ensure success in this role, candidates should also demonstrate excellent active listening, politeness, and tact when dealing with customers.



Reports to: Client Services Manager


Duties & Expectations:

·      Work alongside Sales team to onboard and integrate new clients and develop existing client relationships.

·      Assist in packaging research, development and sourcing using CRP’s global vendor database.

·      Keep current clients satisfied and deliver exceptional client service on a day-to-day basis.

·      Request and review product samples, specifications, options, costing quotes and timelines from vendors. 

·      Analyze pricing and negotiate costs & terms with vendors. 

·      Create and transmit Development Quotes, Purchase/Work Orders, and Change Orders.

·      Forecast and track key account metrics such as unshipped gross profit, billing status, shipping/logistics, and margins.

·      Monitor and analyze customers’ usage of our product.

·      Produce, update & review Project Status Reports such as: project timelines, inventory analysis/management, shipment flow, gross margins, and profitability. 

·      Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.

·      Work with Operations and Logistics teams to find freight and storage solutions for clients.

·      Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.

·      Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.

Position Requirements

·      5+ years of proven experience in Account Management, Customer Relations, or similar role

·      Project management experience

·      Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer need

·      Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail

·      Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills

·      Excellent verbal and written communications skills
