Overview:

The HR Generalist will serve as the primary HR liaison and representative for Distribution Center personnel, responsible for providing HR support to the daily operations across all facets of the business. This role requires the individual to be able to speak fluently in Spanish & English since it will be supporting both an English and Spanish speaking employee population.


Responsibilities:

  • Proactively administer and manage human resource programs such as compensation, benefits, and leave; handle disputes and investigations; oversee performance and talent management; monitor productivity and attendance; ensure occupational health and safety; coordinate training and development initiatives; and foster employee recognition and engagement.
  • Foster a positive employee relations environment through active engagement with site-wide staff.
  • Collaborate with leadership on employee relations issues including investigations, corrective actions, employee grievances, and career counseling. Drive site engagement and enhance HR policies.
  • Lead end-to-end HR projects from inception to completion, ensuring effective rollout of HR solutions.
  • Oversee the medical accommodation process and ensure compliance with affirmative action plans as per federal and state regulations.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, integrating safety, quality, continuous improvement, and operational team considerations.
  • Conduct compliance training for hourly workers and oversee SOP training delivery by line leaders.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and programs including postings, orientation, retention strategies, exit interviews, and updates to employment documentation and orientation materials.
  • Support recruitment efforts, conduct interviews, and collaborate with department managers to identify necessary skills and competencies for open positions as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related.
  • Ability to speak fluently in Spanish is required for this role, supporting a portion of the Spanish speaking employee population.
  • HR experience supporting a Distribution Center or Manufacturing Plant preferred.
  • Strong background in employee relations and grievance handling.
  • Proven experience in HR operations including investigations and performance management.
  • Proficiency in data analysis to drive performance decisions.
  • Ability to design, implement, execute, and assess organizational interventions.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and their applications.
