Help Desk Specialist

About the Company:Looking for a qualified Help Desk Specialist to join our client's team who has an amazing work culture, room for growth and so much more

What you will be doing:

  • Provide technical support for desktop computers, smartphones, applications, and related technology.
  • Manage Windows patching and updates for end-user workstations and servers.
  • Offer Help Desk support for end users both onsite in Little Rock and in the field.
  • Perform specification, installation, testing, and maintenance of computer systems and peripherals.
  • Provide on-call support 24/7 approximately one week every two weeks.
  • Diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems through interaction with application software and operating systems.
  • Deliver one-on-one consultancy to end users.
  • Conduct independent analysis and professional communication to solve issues.
  • Stay current with technology to recommend and implement efficient solutions across the company.
  • Perform duties with minimal supervision, using individual initiative and judgment.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software in a networked environment.
  • Setup and configure Windows computers and peripherals.
  • Build and manage images for desktops, laptops, and tablets.
  • Answer phone calls from users needing assistance.
  • Manage tasks through the Cherwell ticketing system.
  • Create computer images and oversee the imaging process.
  • Setup and configure smartphones.
  • Troubleshoot data transmissions from field technicians.
  • Perform malware and virus remediation on end-user workstations.
  • Administer user accounts in Microsoft Active Directory and Azure AD.
  • Maintain an IT asset database.
  • Develop long-term strategies for the end-user computing environment.
  • Assist Systems Administrators with security planning and implementation.
  • Configure and troubleshoot all computer hardware and software issues.
  • Resolve issues in person, by phone, or using remote assistance applications.
  • Install and analyze software applications.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, such as operating system and virus patches on servers and end-user workstations.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems.
  • Familiarity with Windows Patch Management Process using Manage Engine Desktop Central.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory and Manage Engine AD Audit.
  • UPS World Ship knowledge.
  • Excellent telephone demeanor.
  • Experience with the Android operating system, iPhones, and iPads.
  • Experience working with a wireless carrier.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and perform duties efficiently.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Two-year Associate Degree in Information Systems or equivalent.
  • Past experience working in a corporate networked environment.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Carbon Black, WebEx, and Teams.
  • A+ Certification.
  • ITIL Certification.
