Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze and Define Requirements: Collaborate with users, management, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify functional requirements for pharmacy systems, ensuring feasibility within time and cost constraints.
  • Data and Analytics Management: Develop and manage data and analytics to support business operations and client requests.
  • Integration Solutions: Create integration solutions with third-party technology platforms to provide comprehensive solutions for client needs and internal initiatives.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of IT professionals in maintaining, updating, and supporting critical pharmacy management software and systems.
  • System Testing and Documentation: Oversee software system testing, validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
  • Client and Management Consultation: Ensure alignment with management on system principles and confer with clients to determine information delivery needs.
  • Project Management: Manage project plans based on client requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with HIPAA and HITECH regulations related to pharmacy systems and reporting.
  • User Role Management: Maintain user roles for pharmacy systems and reporting, adhering to the least privilege methodology.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Develop, document, and revise standard operating procedures and process documents for pharmacy systems and reporting.
  • Employee Training: Train employees on pharmacy and reporting systems.
  • System Installation and Issue Resolution: Coordinate the installation of computer programs and systems and resolve system-related issues.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to technology platform and reporting compliance/Service Level Agreements.
  • Additional Duties: Assist with reporting, data analysis, and database administration, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an IT-related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in IT and managing software platforms, with at least two years in pharmacy IT systems and operations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in SQL and experienced with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI, QlikSense, Tableau).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of HIPAA and HITECH regulations.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Detail-Oriented: Detail-oriented with the ability to switch between responsibilities quickly and seamlessly.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all levels within an organization, as well as with partners, vendors, and clients.
  • Independence and Initiative: Ability to think and act independently, support new ideas, and champion initiatives.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
