Manager - Product Descriptions & SEO Copy

High volume ecommerce company is looking to hire a Product Description Manager to join the team. The position can be full time or part time and you can either work out of our Brooklyn Headquarters or Lakewood, NJ location.

Critical to our success is creating accurate and SEO optimized product descriptions and specifications for all our product listings. We launch 1000 new skus each month and require product content for each of these launches.

In this role you will lead a small team of product description writers to ensure timely and high-quality product content creation. You will be responsible for the quality and timeliness of the product descriptions.

We are looking for someone who is a solid project manager. In addition, you should possess strong written communication skills and knowledge of SEO for product descriptions. Knowledge of Amazon SEO is a major plus.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the team that write/edit clear, concise, clean, and SEO optimized product descriptions
  • Optimize content regularly to incorporate new keywords for best searchability
  • Create compelling A+/Enhanced product detail pages.
  • Management of all product description content within content management system
  • Work with team photographer to manage and prioritize photography schedule and ensure best-in-class product/lifestyle imagery
  • Prepare, analyze, and communicate reports on the quality and effectiveness of our content
  • Constantly seek to improve the content creation process for speed and performance

Job Requirements:

  • 2-3 years Product Description Writer and project management experience required
  • Expert product description writing skills with SEO experience
  • Experience with Amazon product listings and A+ content
  • Ability to handle multiple and competing priorities
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Attention to detail and superior prioritization skills
  • Photography product knowledge a major plus
