Manager, Transportation and Customs, the Americas


Overview: Support transportation and customs operations for US, Canada and Mexico. Role includes inbound and outbound transportation operations, customs broker management and managing a team of transportation coordinators


Responsibilities:

Transportation and Customs:

  • Manage all inbound operations to 3PLs and wholesale customers as well as all outbound operations to ecommerce customers and retail stores; Secure Importation of Goods, coordinating with CL HQ, US Customs, brokers, and freight forwarders.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to manage transportation planning, prioritization and forecasting
  • Own KPI management and monitoring for internal and external partners; creating scorecards and reporting cadences
  • Conduct regular business reviews with transportation vendors (IB and OB)
  • Support negotiations with carriers and customs brokers providing information and analyses as needed
  • Organize periodic reviews of relationships with transport providers and customs brokers; monitor and control the level of service and Transportation costs.
  • Own the Transportation cost and budget: contribute to the Budget and cost projection, monitor invoice coding, and payment process, track actual spent vs. budget, identify gaps, and define remedy actions if necessary.
  • Working knowledge of the transportation and import/export regulations of all regions within the America’s, Can, Brazil, and Mexico minimally.


Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive continuous improvement.
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities (processes, organization, reporting and systems).
  • Implement changes to adapt to Christian Louboutin’s evolving business, support company strategy and meet internal clients’ requirements.
  • Act as transformational lead for new processes and systems via collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Work closely with 3PL, IT, and related Departments to ensure proper change management.



Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, International Business or related field required
  • 5+ years of experience in Logistics or similar role
  • Has managed employee(s) in the past, enjoys coaching and developing his/her team. Demonstrates patience, understanding and leads by example
  • Passion for Christian Louboutin and a true ambassador for the brand with strong sense of responsibility
  • Ideal candidate has work experience in medium sized multinational company or luxury business.
  • Adheres to company policy and confidentiality
  • Proactively contributes to creating a team atmosphere that is professional, flexible and enjoyable
  • Exudes a “no task is too big or too small” attitude, with initiative, commitment, reliability, and positivity. Does not accept mediocrity

In accordance with the New York City Commission on Human Rights and in compliance with the Salary Transparency Law, Christian Louboutin envisions the general compensation range for this position to be $95k - $115k per YEAR. *This range is NOT inclusive of other forms of compensation or benefits such as commissions, overtime, discretionary bonus, health insurance, retirement savings or paid leaves of absence.
