As a Reliability and Safety Engineer at Marotta Controls, you'll have the opportunity to work with a world-class team to design and develop products for aerospace and military applications, including missiles, guided rockets, and munitions.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Integrated Product Team (IPT) to identify safety critical items and offer design alternatives.
  • Generate reliability, maintainability, and system safety reports for review.
  • Conduct system safety and maintainability analyses following industry standards.
  • Review and address customer requirements related to reliability and safety.
  • Balance cost, technical aspects, schedule, and risk effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience in aerospace industry focusing on Reliability, Maintainability, and Safety engineering.
  • Experience in New Product Development in aerospace/military sectors.
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Previous exposure to electromechanical design and testing is desirable.
  • Proficiency in using reliability analysis tools like Relex, Weibull ++, Reliasoft XFRACAS is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and technicians.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Physical Requirements:

  • Visual, verbal, and auditory capabilities are essential.
  • Physical tasks include reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking, and possible lifting of items up to 20 pounds.
  • Position based at the Parsippany, NJ office.
  • Proof of U.S. citizenship or necessary export license may be required.
