Position Overview
The Senior System and Security Administrator is responsible for the firm's enterprise systems and plays a vital role in maintaining and managing user accounts.
Primary
- Systems Security:
- Responsible for enterprise systems, web and applications vulnerability scanning and monitoring.
- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the firm's password vault system; audits and enforces user and systems password guidelines.
- Manages service account passwords and assists project teams with updating passwords as needed.
- Collaborates with other IT resources in the field of intrusion detection, virus management and remediation, and in the field of implementation and enforcement of security policies and procedures.
- Prepares security violation reports, and updates security documentation and controls; generates reports for security and process audits
- Administers elevated access to internal resources along with external contractor access and security.
- Systems Administration:
- Sets up and manages the maintenance of user accounts, user rights administration and user account decommissioning.
- Maintains the firm's account and data automation system (Intapp). Creates new automation, updates and maintains existing automation projects, and integrates the automation system with new products and data sources.
- Controls the privileged access management solution. Provides secure remote access for outside contractors collaborating with various firm project teams engaged in configuring new systems and rolling out new software packages.
- Oversees the privileged account elevation system, allowing on-demand elevated rights for IT Operations staff as needed in a secure and easily trackable manner.
- Handles technical second-level user support escalations from the Help Desk, as well as supporting national and international IT support managers.
- Applies security patches to the firm's server infrastructure; monitors systems performance, utilization and capacity.
- Responsible for the production of e-mail and documents at the request of the firm's General Counsel.
- Imports data for incoming lateral hire attorneys into the firm's document management and email systems.
- Handles the creation and maintenance of systems documentation maintained by the IT operations group.
- Provides project support to other IT groups when required, from projects' proof of concepts to pilot testing.
Secondary
- Provides backup support for the firm's SQL DBA, backing up and restoring databases, configuring access rights to the firm's databases, and creating SQL accounts as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
- Job is performed in a typical office environment, but is subject to time pressures and constraints, and is often dependent on input from others.
