Parking Lot Attendant

Summary:
Under the direction of the parking lot supervisor, sets up the parking lot in the proper

traffic configuration following the prescribed condition of the day, and directs

vehicular movement in the parking lot as safely, quickly, and efficiently as possible by

following the prescribed Park Traffic Management Plan.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides guest service;
  • Provides drivers entering the parking lot clear, concise, unambiguous direction for
safe, efficient vehicular movement by using hand and arm signals to direct traffic;

  • The following procedure shall be used when utilizing hand and arm traffic control

signals:
a

STOP:
The arm is extended at shoulder level with the palm facing forward

and the fingers pointing upward.

b

PROCEED:
Using a traffic flag, waving motion across the chest indicating

the direction of travel.

c

TURNS:
The arm and hand are pointed at the lead car in the line of traffic to

be turned, and then a pointing motion in the direction that the traffic is to proceed.

  • Follows prescribed Park Traffic Management Plan and parking lot procedures;
  • The minimum age of a Lot Attendant is 16 years;
  • Wears the Park issued, ANSI compliant, yellowgreen traffic shirt (tucked in) and a
Park issued ball cap. Pants or shorts must be Docker-style, preferably beige, and in

compliance with the CLP Team Member Guidebook;

  • Identifies and immediately reports safety and security hazards;
  • Treats all guests with respect and provides guests with information and directions upon
request;

  • Assists in the placement and removal of signs, barricades, and cones, and the opening
and closing of gates for the purpose of directing pedestrian and vehicular traffic;

  • Is familiar with, understands and complies with team member guidelines, departmental
SOP's and General Orders;

  • Any other tasks as assigned by management.
