About the Role:

Join Windstream's team of Field Service Technicians who play a crucial role in representing the leading telecommunications brand, connecting customers across the United States. These technicians are passionate about technology and ensure customers are connected to products they cherish. By offering technical expertise and customer support, they establish lasting relationships with customers.

What You'll Do:

  • Install and repair business communication services such as telephone, internet, and video.
  • Use tools and test equipment to provide service for various technologies and network designs.
  • Recommend products and services that meet customers' communication needs.
  • Work on buried and aerial plant, involving pole climbing and ladder skills.
  • Operate and maintain company service vehicles in a safe and organized manner.
  • Work in diverse environments, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Complete required safety training and adhere to safety standards.
  • Report to the Manager of Local Operation.

Do You Have?

  • Basic technology and math skills.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Ability to distinguish colors in color-coded cables.
  • Capable of using equipment with a maximum load capacity of 275lbs.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs and work at heights.
  • Willingness to complete necessary safety training.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Availability for after-hour callouts.

Even Better:

  • Experience in customer service or sales.
  • Relevant certifications or training.
  • A two-year technical degree in computers or electronics, or equivalent work experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License.

This is a safety-sensitive position.

Physical Tasks:

Various physical tasks involving standing, walking, sitting, driving, climbing, bending, pushing/pulling, carrying, reaching above the head, and lifting/lowering different weights.

Repetitive Hand Action:

Actions like medium dexterity, fine manipulating, and operating foot controls.

Audio Visual Needs:

Requirement for good hearing, near and far vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and color discrimination.

Exposures to:

Exposure to cold, heat, dampness, heights, vibration, skin irritants, lung irritants, dust, fumes/gases.

Equipment Used in Job Performance/Working Environment:

Test equipment, ladders, climbing hooks, hand and power tools, van.

Types of Driver's License Required:

Driver's License.

Actual base pay depends on the candidate's primary work location and other relevant factors.
